How to Register for an Event

Registering for an event is a very simple process.

📝 Registering for an Aces Poker Run Event

Registering for an Aces Poker Run event is fast and easy. You can search for nearby events, review event details, and select your hands and extras — all within the app.


📍 Step 1: Find an Event Near You

Start on the Home screen. By default, it shows events near your current location.

You can:

🔍 Use the search bar to find an event by name
⚙️ Tap the filter icon to refine by:

  • Location radius

  • Event type (Boat, Snowmobile, Motorcycle, Golf, etc.)

  • Date range

  • Free events only

Tip: Tap Done after setting filters to update the list.


📄 Step 2: View Event Details

Tap any event to open its Event Summary.

You’ll see:

  • Event name and start time

  • How cards are dealt (QR code, GPS, or timed release)

  • Event stops and arrival windows (if applicable)

  • A Register button (if the event is open for signup)


🛒 Step 3: Select Hands and Extras

Tap Register to begin.

On the Event Registration screen, choose:

  • The number of hands you want to purchase

  • Optional extra cards (if enabled by the organizer)

  • Any additional event items (shirts, dinners, etc., if offered)

Each selection updates your total automatically.

You may see options such as:

  • Registration Fee

  • Registration Fee + Extra Card

  • Additional event items

For free events, totals will show $0.00.


💳 Step 4: Select Your Payment Method

After selecting your items, you’ll choose how to pay.

Available options depend on how the organizer configured the event:

💳 Credit Card

Pay securely in the app using Stripe.

🍎 Apple Pay (iOS)

Quick checkout using your saved Apple Pay wallet.

🤖 Google Pay (Android)

Quick checkout using your saved Google Pay wallet.

🎟 Will Call (If Enabled)

Reserve your spot now and pay the organizer later.

If you select Will Call, the app will display:

  • 🕒 A payment deadline

  • 📍 Important instructions from the organizer (for example, “Visit the Will Call table at check-in” or “Send payment via Venmo before arrival.”)

⚠️ Important:
When choosing Will Call, you are reserving your hands. The organizer expects you to complete payment by the listed deadline. If payment is not completed, your registration may be canceled.

If you have questions about Will Call payment, contact the event organizer directly.


🧾 Step 5: Review and Checkout

Tap Next to proceed to the Order Summary.

Review your selections carefully, then tap Checkout.

  • If paying online, you’ll complete payment in-app.

  • If it’s a free event or you selected Will Call, you’ll simply confirm your registration.


✅ Step 6: Confirmation

After checkout, you’ll see a confirmation screen showing:

  • Confirmation code

  • Transaction time

  • Summary of your registration

You’ll also receive an email receipt (if your account includes an email address).

Tap Go to Your Events to return to your dashboard.


💡 Additional Notes

  • Some events allow extra cards to be purchased after registration (until the third card is dealt).

  • If the event uses a registration code, you must enter it before proceeding.

  • If the event has limited capacity, registration will close once the limit is reached.

  • Will Call registrations must be completed by the organizer’s specified deadline.
