In Aces Poker Run, your poker hand is built by collecting cards at each stop during an event. Depending on how the event is configured, there are three different ways you might receive your cards.

This guide helps you understand what to expect based on the method your event organizer selected.

šŸ“ Where to Find Card Distribution Info

You can see the card deal method when you:

Go to Home > Select an Event
The "Dealt by:" line under the event name will show the card distribution type.

šŸŽ“ Card Distribution Types

1. šŸ”² QR Code Scan

"Dealt by: QR code scan"

This is the most common and interactive method.

How It Works:

  • At each stop, you’ll see a printed QR code poster

  • Tap ā€œScan QR Code for Next Cardā€ in your event screen

  • Use your camera to scan the QR

  • Your card is instantly dealt into your hand

Can’t scan?

You can also enter the check-in code manually using the ā€œEnter code to get your cardā€ option.

āœ… Great for in-person events with good signage
šŸ’” Cards only deal once per stop, so no need to scan twice

2. ā± Scheduled Time Release

"Dealt by: Scheduled time"

Perfect for virtual or low-contact events.

How It Works:

  • Each stop has a set arrival time

  • At the scheduled time, the card for that stop is automatically dealt

  • No action is required from you

You’ll still see the list of stops, and cards will appear one by one in your hand as each time window passes.

āœ… Great for remote or hands-off events
ā³ Cards won’t appear early — only after the set time

3. šŸ“ GPS-Based Release

"Dealt by: GPS"

Cards are triggered when you physically arrive at a stop using your device’s GPS.

How It Works:

  • The app checks your location when you arrive at a stop

  • If you're within the correct range, your card is automatically dealt

  • No need to scan or tap anything

āœ… Ideal for outdoor and large-scale location-based events
šŸ“± Make sure location permissions are enabled for the Aces app

ā„¹ļø If you’re attending a GPS-based event and something seems off, double-check your location settings or contact the event organizer.

🧠 Tips for a Smooth Card Experience

  • Make sure you’re logged into your account

  • Refresh your event screen if you think a card didn’t deal

  • QR events: Scan only the stop-specific QR code (not a friend’s!)

  • Time and GPS events: Cards are only dealt at the designated time/location

ā“ Still Waiting for a Card?

If you missed a stop or didn’t receive a card:

  • Try resyncing the event by reopening the app

  • Check if you have a multi-day event and are viewing the correct date
