How to collect cards and track your progress participating in a golf poker run event.

The Aces Poker Run app makes golf poker events simple and fun. Players collect cards at designated tee boxes throughout their round. Here’s how it works:

🎯 How It Works

  • 9-hole events: QR code signs will be placed on every tee box.

  • 18-hole events: QR code signs will be placed on the odd tee boxes on the front nine and the even tee boxes on the back nine.

  • Scanning a QR code at each designated tee box deals you a card into your poker hand.

🏌️ Starting Your Round

  1. Open the Aces Poker Run app.

  2. Go to Your Events and select your golf event.

  3. Tap Start Golf Round.

  4. Choose your starting tee box from the dropdown list.

    • This is important for shotgun starts to keep your card order correct.

    • ⚠️ You can only change your starting tee box until your first card is dealt.

If you forget to start your round and scan a QR code, the app will prompt you to select your starting tee box before dealing your card.

🃏 Catch-Up Cards

If you skip scanning at a tee box, the app will automatically catch you up at your next scan.

  • Example: If you started on Tee Box 3 and your next scan is at Tee Box 10, the app will also deal cards for Tee Boxes 5, 7, and 9.

📱 App Features During Your Round

  • Scan QR Code for Next Card → Scan signs at tee boxes to receive your card.

  • My QR Code → Lets volunteers or organizers quickly confirm your hand.

  • Change Starting Tee Box → Available only until you receive your first card.

  • View Leaderboard → See live results as other participants receive their cards.

  • Manage Hands → Rename, share, or manage your poker hands.

  • Buy Hands, Cards, and Other Items → Purchase extra hands or event add-ons (if offered).

✅ Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • Always start your round in the app before scanning your first QR code.

  • Double-check the tee box number on the QR code sign before scanning.

  • If you’re unsure, you can verify your hand progress by viewing your listed Golf Tee Boxes at the bottom of the screen.
