How to Create and Assign Hands for Offline Ticket Sales

You can easily manage and assign poker hands to participants who purchase tickets offline or outside the app using the Manage Hands feature.

If you’re selling event hands in person or outside the app, you can easily create and assign those hands using the Manage Hand feature during your event setup or check-in.

This tool allows you to either scan a participant’s app QR code or send the hand to them via text.


📍 Where to Find It

Manage Events > Select Your Event > Tap “Manage Hand”

This button appears once your event is active (published).


🧾 Step-by-Step: Add a New Hand

1. Tap “Manage Hand”

Opens the hand assignment interface where you’ll see available hand types and pricing (e.g., Hand Only or Hand + Extra Card).


2. Select the Hand Type

Choose one of the available options:

  • Hand (standard registration)

  • Hand + Extra Card (if your event offers it)

Prices are shown next to each type (configured in your Event Items screen).


3. Choose How You’ll Deliver the Hand

You have two options for assigning the hand:

✅ Option A: QR Code (Fastest)

Use this when the participant has the Aces Poker Run app installed.

  • Select QR Code

  • Tap “Scan QR Code to Transfer”

  • Use your device to scan the participant’s User QR Code from their app

The hand will be automatically linked to their account.


✉️ Option B: Mobile Delivery (Manual Entry)

Use this if the participant doesn’t have the app yet or you’re entering the sale manually.

  • Select Mobile Delivery

  • Enter the participant’s name

  • Enter their mobile phone number

  • Tap “Send Registration Details”

They’ll receive a text message with a link to redeem their hand.


📬 What the Participant Sees

  • If they already have the app: The hand appears immediately in Your Events

  • If they don’t: The link will prompt them to download the app and then claim the hand

Once accepted, the hand is fully active and visible in their account.


🔄 Shared Registration Management

If a hand is sent via Mobile Delivery, it’s marked as a Shared Registration until the participant accepts it.

You can:

  • Tap Manage to resend the invite

  • Cancel the pending hand if necessary


💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • ✅ Confirm phone numbers before tapping send

  • 🔄 You can resend or cancel hand assignments from the Manage menu

  • 📲 Use QR code scanning to instantly assign hands without SMS delays

  • 💳 Hands can be assigned based on the pricing options you configured in Event Items
