At the end of your poker run, it's important to close the event. Closing finalizes the event in the system, helps wrap up all activity, and unlocks payout processing through Stripe (if you collected funds through the app).
You’ll also have the option to deal any remaining cards to participants who didn’t complete the event — a great way to ensure full participation in the leaderboard.
📍 Where to Close the Event
To close your event:
Manage Events > Select Event > More Event Options > Close Event
💸 Stripe Setup Required for Paid Events
If your event involved selling hands or items, you’ll be prompted to complete Stripe payout setup before you can close the event.
You’ll be directed to:
Connect an existing Stripe account, or
Create a new one to manage funds
This ensures that Aces Poker Run can transfer your collected revenue to your designated payout account.
🔒 What Happens When You Close an Event?
🚫 Registration is permanently closed
🛑 No additional hands or items can be sold
📊 Leaderboards are frozen
🔁 You will be prompted with the option to Deal Remaining Cards (optional)
🃏 Dealing Remaining Cards (Optional but Useful)

⚠️ This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Only use this when the event has truly ended.
