Transferring or Reassigning a Registration (Organizer)

How organizers can reassign an already-active registration to a different participant using the Transfer Registration screen.

Written by Aces Help

The Transfer Registration screen lets organizers reassign an already-active registration from one participant to another. This is an organizer-level action β€” it's different from a participant transferring their own hand via mobile delivery.

Use this when a registration is tied to the wrong account and needs to be moved to the correct participant.

πŸ“ Where to Find It

Manage Events β†’ Select Event β†’ Participants β†’ Tap a Participant β†’ Transfer Registration

πŸ”„ How to Transfer a Registration

  1. Go to Manage Events β†’ Select Event β†’ Participants

  2. Tap the participant whose registration you need to reassign

  3. Tap Transfer Registration

  4. Choose the new participant using QR scan or search

  5. Confirm the transfer

The registration β€” including any cards already dealt β€” moves to the new participant's account. The original participant's account no longer shows the hand.

↔️ Organizer Transfer vs. Participant Transfer

Organizer Transfer

Participant Transfer (Mobile Delivery)

Who initiates it

Organizer, from the Participants screen

Participant, from their Manage Hands screen

Registration state

Already active and assigned

Active β€” participant chooses to give it to someone else

Use case

Wrong account, error correction, event-day reassignment

Gifting a hand to a friend or family member

See Sharing & Accepting a Hand via Mobile Delivery for the participant-initiated transfer flow.

πŸ’‘ When to Use This

  • A participant registered with the wrong account (e.g., used a family member's login)

  • A hand needs to be moved to a walk-in participant who paid in cash

  • An error during registration needs to be corrected on event day
